To achieve the best results, you may require fixed braces particularly in moderate to severe crowding. At Family Dental Rathfarnham Village we use Damon Braces which offer much quicker treatment times than conventional metal braces.

Damon Clear brackets are virtually invisible and offer a discrete treatment experience for anyone who feels self-conscious about the appearance of metal braces.

We offer a range of orthodontic treatments at Family Dental Rathfarnham Village. The cost of treatment depends on, the type of braces you would like, the complexity of your case and the estimated length of time of your treatment. With this in mind we would recommend that you attend for an orthodontic consultation and Dr Bailey can explain to you all the available options and give you a fully detailed quotation.

Guide Price for fixed metal braces (upper AND lower)

We offer interest-free payment plans on all of our Orthodontic treatments.
Currently, 20% tax relief is available on Orthodontic treatments, MED 2 receipts provided by us on request.

All fixed appliance prices include:

Patient records (impressions and orthodontic photographs)
Treatment planning
Patient Orthodontic care kit (includes interdental brushes, patient relief wax and toothpaste)
Regular scheduled visits for adjustment (usually every 6 weeks)
Emergency appointments (to repair damage to braces)
An orthodontic sports gum shield
One set of removable retainers to be worn after fixed braces are removed
A follow up appointment at 6 and 12 months after braces are removed

Not included in the fixed appliance price:

OPG x-ray required prior to the brace being put on €50
Tooth Extractions which may be required €100 each
Fillings which may be required €100-120 each
